What does our business tax preparation include?

  • Preparation and Electronic Filing of Federal Business Income Tax Return
  • Preparation and Electronic Filing Requirements for your State (if applicable)

Best practices to keep your professional tax preparation cost effective:

  • Stay organized throughout the year! Organized record keeping, thorough responses and timely communication are the keys to success.
  • If you do your own bookkeeping, try our QuickBooks Coaching service to help you learn tips and tricks that will deliver more accurate results or consider a QuickBooks Cleanup once or twice a year to keep your accounting system in check.
  • If additional information is requested, don’t delay your response! The tax preparer will likely need to review the original input of data if there is a delayed response time. This typically adds considerable time to fully prepare your tax return and additional fees will apply.
  • Upon our completion of your return, review your return and finalize your e-file documentation as quickly as possible. Multiple requests for review and e-file documentation increase the processing time involved to complete your return.

How does it work?

  • You upload your Business Tax Questionnaire, an accounting file and any supporting documentation that may apply using your secure ShareFile account
  • We prepare your Federal Income Tax Returns as well as your State Filings (if applicable)
  • We will contact you regarding any open items or questions remaining to complete your return
  • You provide additional information when applicable
  • We finalize your return and send you an invoice
  • We upload a copy of your return to ShareFile for your records1 upon payment of your final invoice
1If you do not wish to use ShareFile, paper copies can be prepared upon request. Additional procedures and fees will apply.
  • You review the accuracy of your return, complete the necessary e-file documentation and return it to our office (via ShareFile, mail or hand-delivery)
  • We electronically file your return to the appropriate taxing authority on your behalf2
2In the event that the taxing authorities are unable to accept your returns electronically, additional procedures and fees will apply. You will be responsible for reviewing the paper returns for accuracy, signing them, and filing them timely with the tax authorities.
