DID YOU KNOW...as a general rule, you must issue a Form 1099 to every vendor (individual, partnership, Limited Liability Company, Limited Partnership or Estate) that you pay $600 or more in a calendar year for rent, services (including parts and materials), prizes and awards, or other income. Save valuable time on a tedious process with the comfort of a professional who is trained to work through filing properly! You may also avoid a costly penalty per each omitted or incorrect 1099. (As much as $1,000....yikes!)
Download the 1099 Preparation Request below and return it to us using your secure ShareFile account. Deadline to file each year is January 31st.
WHAT’S NEW: Effective for tax year 2020, the IRS has changed guidelines for reporting non-employee compensation on Form 1099. The government has brought back Form 1099-NEC to report non-employee compensation. Be aware, this may cause an additional Form 1096 filing requirement as well as additional filing fees compared to previous years.
